    New Brew

New Brew is a unique, musical trio consisting of the acoustic guitar sounds of Mike Biere and Glen Wegryn with the percussive additions of Rick Boyer.

Hailing from Cincinnati, the New Brew guys play an eclectic mix ranging from mellow to rowdy, including everything from Simon & Garfunkle to The Who! While most of the song selections are more from the “classic rock” era, there are selections ranging from the ‘50’s to current day in their repertoire. Vocals are a highlight with lots of two part harmonies, and the musicianship is also top notch!

    dave-hawkins-3

Dave Hawkins is a cross-over artist with a broad base of Folk and Celtic fans in the Midwest, New England and Western United States, as well as Europe. Dave is an accomplished musician who has led bands for over thirty years, released fourteen recordings and appeared as a special guest on seven more!  His repertoire consists of pithy songs about loves won and lost, baseball, kids, big cities, small towns and “just because.” From the jilted lover’s perspective or the eyes of an old man’s dog, Dave has an ear (and heart) for life’s little quirks.

$3 beer drafts all night long, too and tacos. What could be better?

Pink Floyd on mandolin? Emerson, Lake, and Palmer on saxophone? !

Joe Moorman and Bruce Kircher have played throughout the Cincinnati region with bands such as Fast Sky and The Gamut since the 70’s. Together they blend guitar, mandolin, sax, flutes and vocals into a folkadelic mix of progressive rock, Celtic, blues, jazz and world music. Their motto is, “What could possibly go wrong?” as they explore the uncharted musical roads of the Cosmos together without seat belts.

Roger picked up his first guitar fifty years ago and has never let go. He played professionally in the 70s with both Chauncy and the Rustics out of Louisville, Kentucky. After picking only for his dog for a few years, he then played with Pat Johnson in an acoustic duo in Cincinnati in the early ’80s. He also traveled the Midwest with his family classic rock band, Ten Minute Warmup.  In the last few years, he has played acoustic guitar with the Melissa Smith Group and bass with the southern rock band, Blind Bet.  He can also be found most Sunday mornings, pickin’ for the ConneXion at Forest Chapel Methodist in Cincinnati. Now, in his words, “he is quasi-retired”.  But he stills comes out of hiding occasionally to perform his brand of cool country, classic rock, and original American music.  Plus….you never know who is going to show up with him.
